Stroke Resources

Stroke is a leading cause of disability and death in the United States, affecting nearly 800,000 Americans each year. In Maryland alone, stroke hospitalizations have increased by over 20% in the past decade, highlighting the urgency of this public health issue within the state. When someone suffers a stroke, quick access to information and support resources can make a significant difference in their journey toward recovery. This website serves as a guide, providing a curated list of nationally recognized organizations and online resources dedicated to stroke education, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Whether you are one of the nearly 200,000 Marylanders living with the effects of stroke, a caregiver, healthcare professional, or someone seeking to learn more about this life-threatening condition, you will find valuable information, tools, and support services to navigate the challenges associated with stroke. Our goal is to empower individuals and communities across Maryland and the United States with the knowledge and resources necessary to reduce the burden of stroke and improve outcomes for those affected by this devastating condition.
