Living with a brain injury can require a range of resources, strategies, and supports, the range of which can be overwhelming and expensive. Support needs may extend long after someone leaves the hospital. For families with little or no insurance, the emotional and financial issues can be devastating. The State of Maryland established The Maryland Brain Injury Trust Fund to provide hope and assistance to those with nowhere else to turn. Once the program is operational, the program will pay for case management and other support services. |
