Crabs for a Cause
Join The Cro Foundation for its Third Annual Crab Feast, affectionately known as Cro Fest, on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 5:00–9:00 PM at Legacy Hall in Sykesville, Maryland. After two years of sold-out events, Cro Fest returns for another evening of great food, community, and giving back.
The Cro Foundation was established in memory of Ryan Crochunis, who tragically lost his life at age 16 following a traumatic brain injury. Since 2023, the Foundation has worked to honor Ryan’s life and legacy through its guiding principles of Honor, Heal, and Help, supporting local families, scholarships, brain injury initiatives, adaptive programs, and other community causes.
Guests at Cro Fest can look forward to all-you-can-eat steamed crabs and a full menu, beverages, music, a silent auction, raffles, a money wheel, and plenty of opportunities to have fun while supporting an important cause.
The Brain Injury Association of Maryland (BIAMD) is especially honored to continue its partnership with The Cro Foundation. In 2025, the Foundation presented BIAMD with a $10,000 contribution during Cro Fest, in addition to supporting BIAMD’s Annual Conference and Scarecrow 5K. Supporting individuals with traumatic brain injuries and the caregivers who stand beside them remains an important part of The Cro Foundation’s mission.
Proceeds from the 2026 event will once again help The Cro Foundation continue its charitable work, including support for BIAMD and Maryland’s brain injury community. Every ticket purchased, raffle entered, and donation made helps transform Ryan’s memory into meaningful support for others.
Come hungry, bring your friends, and join us for an unforgettable evening of crabs, community, and a cause that makes a difference.
